Right, I’ve decided I need to up my game in terms of my collecting and bringing my collection to you guys. It’s a three pronged attack consisting of the following:
- I am lucky to have such an extensive record collection so I need to dig a little deeper into my own vaults to unearth even more gems.
- I need to dedicate more time to physical and virtual digging in the wild. More and more on Instagram I am stumbling across so superb accounts delivering outstanding music time and time again. So much to discover especially in deep house. Watch this space.
- Then I need to deliver useful no bells and whistle’d content just superb music introduction.
It’s not a competition with people doing the same thing as we all have the same goal, to share dope music. With that in mind check out these accounts: selected_wax and dancefloorarchives.
I’ve been toying with the idea of getting the wireless DJ headphones from Alpha Theta the HDJ F10s because they connect direct with my new DJM V5 mixer (the only mixer currently on the market to have the transmitter built in so it kinda makes sense. The reviews are solid on the whole too.
However the fly in the ointment is the fact That I already own the AIAIAI TMA 2 wireless headphones which work really well. Such a game changer as a DJ to be un-tethered from the mixer. Latency just isn’t an issue now. I’m going to see how strong I can be by not jumping straight into the purchase. I will wait until (hopefully) I fall in love with the mixer first! How very grown up of me.
