Rotary Mixers

Now is the turn of the rotary DJ mixer. A page for the purists, smooth blenders and hipsters alike. I am a massive fan of rotaries and have gone on a relentless mission over the last ten yeas to either own or get my hands on as many as possible. I have huge practical experience but don’t get too technical with me, I’m all about playing on them not dissecting them like a frog in a science lab..

Bozak

I absolutely loved this setup. A work of art and a beautiful sounding rig. Comprised of the AR6 squared, EQ6 and the ISOx. Paul Bozak Morrisey smashed my setup out of the park with extra pre-amped channels and more.

I miss this setup every day, a few quid when all tolled but worth every penny.

Below is a little mix I did on the rig many moons ago focussing on a few Heist Recordings gems:

What a pretty beast this AR4 is and a nod to an old skool Gemini classic with some of the design elements. The layout is so spacious and is just a dream to mix on with some of the best summing I’ve experienced. Two audio sources seem to sit so well together in the mix, it’s like magic.

I was lucky enough to be sent this mixer and the AP2 along with a special one off mixer he had in development which I had on long term test.

Below is another little mix on the AR4 this time as a little promotional mix non verbal review:

This is an incredibly cute little mixer. Super compact and super light but great sounding little thing. Isolators on each of the two channels. Mixing is a pure pleasure on this. The sound is unreal from this small form factor.
