Super short one today as suffering with a bad back. Must have been all those record crates I dragged from gig to gig in the 90s.
As promised though a quick update on the Alpha Theta DJM V5 that finally landed. So just a quick reminder I had the V10 and whilst it is an absolutely epic mixer in every sense, it is huge, heavy and over-featured for my humble spacial constraints.
The DJM V5 has half the channels of it’s bigger brother and a few bits stripped out and a few bits added in. Now It feels like they were reading my mind because they literally removed just the items I didn’t want and added a few really nice additions to suit me perfectly. My only concern was whether or not it retained the quality built and sound, which I am glad to report it absolutely has.
All I can say to this point is that I absolutely love it and feel this could be a long termer for me. I’ve said this before of course but I actually mean it this time. I’ve not had a proper mix as my back wont allow that at this stage but I’m feeling good about the V5.
