it forms very large colonies on the upper trunks and branches of rainforest trees

The margins are scalloped in a decorative way and will develop red banding on the leaves in cooler weather and bright light. Our plants came originally from the vicinity of Huahuapan, Oaxaca many years ago. A beautiful species that reaches well over 15 inches across in very stiff leaved rosettes.
