The idea of a black Adam and Eve once sounded too far fetched for me because so dominant is the Western representation of these biblical figures that I grew up thinking that the authentic representation of these figures was the one that followed a Western pictorial tradition and that later led to me feeling aggrieved by the lack of a black representation

Boats on Attabad Lake portraiture The idea of a blackThis photograph was taken on Attabad Lake in Hunza, Northern Pakistan. The turquoise water there is unlike anywhere else, set against a dramatic backdrop of the rugged Karakoram mountains. The traditional brightly painted boats caught my eye their colours and patterned seemed to echo the vibrancy and rich culture of Hunza of the landscape itself.
