It is described in the 1897 edition of 'Fruits of Ontario' as having flesh that is white, fine grained, tender, almost melting. A cross between Bartlett and Duchess d' Angouleme. Similar in appearance to Bartlett; sweet and juicy with a rich flavor. Developed by P. C. Dempsey of Trenton, Ontario in the 1890's. 3 5 foot
