Mosaic Tile Company Hawk Kindergarten Series NC Pots Decorated with hand painted flourishesVintage Arts and Crafts Mission tile in matte glazes from the Mosaic Tile Company dating to the 1930's. Measures 4 1 4" square and nearly 1 2" thick. From the Kindergarten series is shows a self framed image of a hawk. Made from a red faience clay, the tile was reclaimed and has chipping on the back. This tile was photographed for volume 2 of the four volume set of the Encyclopedia of American art Tile by Norman Karlson.
