Constructed of bronzed feinzink, the obverse bearing a shield with a raised map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates 1941 1942, affixed with all four reverse attachment prongs to a zink backplate with a dark grey wool liner indicating Luftwaffe issue, unmarked, the shield measuring 52. 60 mm (w) x 60. 48 mm (h), in overall near extremely fine condition.
