and 10% Petit Verdot from 52 hectares of deep gravel soils

prized for its balance and ageworthiness

and graphite with firm tannins and mineral lift

The fruit comes from roughly 40 year old Chenin Blanc vines on flinty (silex) soils, gently pressed and given a short vinification in stainless steel, with no malolactic fermentation so the natural acidity stays razor sharp. Bottled the spring after harvest, it's about purity and tension rather than weight.
